Power-Packed Breakfast Smoothie

I was so inspired after watching this video of Dr. Terry Wahls this week - that I decided make a commitment to trying her "diet plan" / lifestyle change - which includes eating these foods on a DAILY BASIS:

1) SULFUR-RICH VEGETABLES (like cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower)
2) A PLATE FULL OF GREENS (including kale, spinach, collard, etc)
3) RICHLY COLORED fruits, berries, and veggies

I figured that making a "green smoothie" for breakfast every morning would be a good start. These smoothies  are a quick and easy way to "eat your greens" - without having to taste them! A lot of greens like kale, collard, and spinach are probably not your favorite in salads... but put them in a smoothie every morning for breakfast, and they are delicious! I've also started adding MORINGA LEAF POWDER into my smoothies after reading about the numerous health benefits of this powerful herb.

If you don't have a ton of time in the morning, this smoothie is the perfect way to get many important vitamins, minerals, and nutrients fast..... like Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Fiber, Potassium, Folic Acid, Calcium, and Vitamin K. You should notice the health benefits immediately. I sure did!

1 banana
1 1/2 cups frozen berries (a blueberry, raspberry, strawberry mix is the best)
1 1/2 cups greens (kale, spinach or collard greens)
1 cup cold filtered water

Blend it all up and enjoy!

*MORINGA LEAF POWDER is one of the most powerful supplements you can take. It's high in B Vitamins and amino acids like tyrosine - which are essential to the health of our liver, kidneys, digestive system...and your whole body! Moringa Leaf is anti-aging, alkalizing, and acts as an anti-oxidant. If you want to sleep great, feel younger, and feel more energy than ever, try this stuff! It's amazing. I recommend the Organic India Brand from the Vitamin Shoppe :)

I'm feeling amazing this week, and look forward to feeling younger and younger as I follow Dr. Wahl's advice. I hope you will, too! I'm also looking for some good recipes containing cabbage and cauliflower - so if you have any, please send them my way!

Have a super-healthy weekend! ♥ Christie
