Hidden Sources of Gluten

Here are some common sources of hidden gluten.... 

*Barley Malt (this is in many cereals like the regular Rice Krispies)
*Maltodextrin and dextrin (unless specified that it comes from corn or rice)
*SOME brands of instant Cocoa (like Ovaltine)
*Many processed meats and cheeses (read the ingredients)
*Soy Sauce (unless it's certified "wheat free")
*Caramel Coloring (this is in a lot of Rootbeers
*Bouillon cubes or powder
*Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (HPV)
*Modified Food Starch (unless specified that it comes from corn or rice)
*Beer (unless it's marked "Gluten Free") 
*Some sauces, salad dressings, and condiments
*Communion Wafers!! (Read this) 
*Rice Pilaf 
*Durum and Semolina pasta (wheat)
*Meatballs
*Breaded foods 
*Some ice creams 
*Some french fries (IN-N-OUT are SAFE!!!)
*Malt Beverages 


Just say NO to all sources of Gluten! And have a happy gluten-free week ;)
